Waterslide Decal Application Instructions

1. Prepare the Surface
Make sure the model surface is clean, smooth, and free of dust, fingerprints, wax, or oils. A smooth gloss surface generally provides the best results.

2. Cut Out the Decal
Carefully cut around each individual decal using a sharp hobby knife or fine scissors. Trim as close to the printed design as practical.

3. Soak in Water
Place the decal in lukewarm water for approximately 15–30 seconds. Remove it from the water and allow it to sit briefly until the decal begins to slide freely from the backing paper.

4. Position the Decal
Place the backing paper next to the desired location on the model. Gently slide the decal from the paper onto the vehicle.

5. Adjust Placement
While the decal is still wet, carefully move it into the correct position. A small soft brush or cotton swab can help with alignment.

6. Remove Excess Water
Gently blot the decal with a soft, lint-free cloth or paper towel. Carefully press out excess water and any trapped air bubbles, working from the center outward.

7. Allow to Dry
Let the decals dry completely. For best results, allow them to set for at least 12–24 hours before handling or applying a protective finish.

8. Optional Clear Coat
Once completely dry, a model-compatible clear coat may be applied to help protect and seal the decals. Always test your clear coat on a spare decal or inconspicuous area first.

Important

These are waterslide decals and are not stickers. They require cutting, soaking in water, positioning, and drying.

For the best results, take your time during application and avoid handling the decals until they are completely dry.
