Waterslide Decal Application Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Surface

Make sure your model vehicle is clean, smooth, and free of dust, grease, or fingerprints. A glossy painted surface is recommended for the best results.

Step 2 – Cut Out the Decals

Carefully cut around each decal using sharp hobby scissors or a precision hobby knife.

Step 3 – Soak in Water

Place the decal in a small container of room-temperature water for approximately 10–20 seconds. Remove it and allow the decal to rest on a damp surface until it slides freely from the backing paper.

Step 4 – Apply to the Model

Lightly wet the area where the decal will be applied. Carefully slide the decal from the backing paper onto the model using tweezers or a soft brush.

Step 5 – Position the Decal

Gently adjust the decal into its correct position. Use a damp cotton swab or soft brush to remove excess water and trapped air bubbles.

Step 6 – Allow to Dry

Let the decals dry completely for at least 24 hours before handling or applying a protective clear coat.

Step 7 – Optional Clear Coat

For additional protection and durability, apply a compatible hobby-grade clear coat after the decals have fully dried. Always test clear-coat compatibility on a spare decal first.
